600*

August 6th 2010 14:27
For many who were not aware, A-Rod hit his 600th homerun. It only took 12 games of ESPN to cut away from whatever was on in order to watch every single ab live. This reminded me of when Barry Bonds was shooting for the all time record. I am not sure how exactly to say this but when was it alright for us to care about any players breaking milestones while taking performance enhancing drugs? Doesn't that defeat the entire purpose of the milestones to begin with. Obviously they have an advantage of the few who followed the rules and did not take performance enhancing drugs. The cover of the New York papers were priceless as they congratulated A-Rod on his tainted milestone. Hopefully we won't have to endure all of this when A-Rod goes for his 700th homerun.
